Plot Summary: Scrawny high school student Hobin Yu is probably the last guy you’d expect to star in a NewTube channel that revolves around fighting. But after following some advice from a mysterious NewTube channel, Hobin is soon knocking out guys stronger than him and raking in more money than he could have ever dreamed of.
First Thoughts: Wow, this is very ugly and I mean that in both on how the show looks and everything else that’s presented in here. Yeah, I get that in here, the YouTu—I mean, NewTubers are supposed to be these annoying jerkoffs that will do anything for money but damn. You got this one NewTuber trying to make a fast food worker build a burger in 30 seconds or not, she give him her number. You know, the shit where assholes will do anything for content. Also, there’s Hobin, who always get shit on these basic-ass bullies and not to mention they use his mom’s back account for their live stream monetization and say shit like you’re the reason your mom has cancer. Thankfully Hobin beats his ass and that got viewed a lot, meaning cash money but…. I don’t know.
This whole thing feels mean-spirited and not in a fun or engaging way; we know we need to feel for the MC and now him doing this shit for money…. Then again, he can pay for his mom’s hospital expenses although that asshole bully wants in, too.
GIVE IT 3 EPISODES. This might be a contender as a lowlight but fuck it.
