Another anime that’s about a social media game where you play for your life. And this episode is 47 minutes long!?
“But you like that about Astra Lost in S–”
THIS AIN’T THAT SHOW!!! But fine, I’ll see what this show can do for that much amount of time.
*47 minutes later*
This shit should’ve just been 2 regular-ass episodes. This is Darwin’s Game.

Plot Summary: Kaname Sudō is a high school boy who is drawn to a mysterious game app titled “Darwin’s Game.” He becomes involved in a social game where the stakes are life or death.
First Thoughts: That episode didn’t need to be 47 minutes long. The episode is just 2 episodes combined into one and I get with the first episode that they are introducing us to the whole game and who runs it and yeah, it was pretty cool but as soon as the 2nd episode happened, I……yep, I kinda drifted to sleep to this. Most of that episode didn’t really do much to keep me enthralled and by that, I meant the 2nd half of this. 1st half was good and all and so far, it didn’t turn into a mindless, mean-spirited gorefest but we got the rest of the season to see how this progress or regress.
I’LL PROCEED WITH CAUTION
And yes, I noticed that Aniplex USA has been getting in bed with Funimation as of recently, especially since Funi is doing the dub for them.
Wonder if they’ll do dubs for other Aniplex shows that need dubs?
I’m MAK2.0 aka The Blue Hybrid and Beware a panda chasing you with a weapon. He’s either going to kill you or make you dance to “Panda”.
