So the 2016 Berserk reboot anime ended up being one of the biggest disappointments of the 2016 summer season and also an ugly-looking one to be honest. Now they are continuing where they have left off and now we wonder about what will be next on this…..and if it’s going to look any uglier.
This is Berserk (2017).

Plot Summary: Spurred by the flame raging in his heart, the Black Swordsman Guts continues his seemingly endless quest for revenge. Standing in his path are heinous outlaws, delusional evil spirits, and a devout child of god. Even as it chips away at his life, Guts continues to fight his enemies, who wield repulsive and inhumane power, with nary but his body and sword—his strength as a human.
First Thoughts: AGAIN WITH DUAL EPISODES!? What’s with this year and debuting 2 episodes at a time? Fuuka and KADO did it and now this one? OK, so yes, the horrible CG is still a factor of this but I can still say that the story and characters are still a good highlight of this and the sense of dread and nightmarish fucked-up imagery and insanity are still present and are definitely the reasons I still tune in to this. OK, I’m going back and forth on this but hey, it’s not utterly terrible to watch but I wasn’t put it on top of the list.
Yeah, this is an very MEDIUM priority watch. It’s more of a “Eh, OK.” Type of watch.
I’m MAK2.0 aka The Blue Hybrid and OK, the OP for this really sucks.
