Plot Summary: Glenn Radars is a part-time teacher at a magic school who is inclined to write “self-study” on the blackboard and then take a nap. One of his students, Sistine, gets angry and challenges him to a duel and he is easily defeated. However, when a terrible incident threatens the school, Glenn shows intense dedication to protecting his students.
First Thoughts: OK, let me get my magical school tropes list out, shall we?
Two main girls for the teenage boys for spank material? Check.
Have a changing scene in the first episode? Check.
Big magical academy? Check.
Mysterious past to our main character? Check.
More than one girl in that poster I put on here? Check.
Blank slate male prota– WAIT!!! Actually, this one isn’t much of a blank slate protagonist. He’s just a lazy, unmotivated fuck and yet some motherfucker hired this guy as a teacher and you made a shit introduction to the guy considering the first thing we see him, he’s doing the “let’s run fast to a crowd of people” shit that usually girls would do but that got avoided because Sistine did a spell that blew him in the air…..and as they got to the school, he really doesn’t do much of importance and of course, Sistine is disappointed because she thought she would have a challenge from him but yeah……the word ‘bastard’ definitely applies to this guy and it wouldn’t be a light novel anime without a changing scene and girls grabbing titties and the much cliched ‘guy walks in half-naked girls and gets ass kicked’ moment.
Yeah, I didn’t get angry at all from this and I did recognize this show on the Spring schedule but I either forgot about the premise or didn’t look at it at all but damn, this is one forgettable-ass first episode. I don’t know if it’ll be as bad as The Asterisk War or Mahouka but I’m not all that ecstatic about this one.
I give it 3 EPISODES. Good thing unlike those other 2 shows, this is only 12 episodes.
I’m MAK2.0 aka The Blue Hybrid and no matter how you try to differ yourself from other shows, you’re still doing a walk-in naked girls scene.
