Well, well, well…….we are back in Spring and yes, I have been looking forward to what this season is going to bring us, especially today. 2 BIGGEST PREMIERES from Funimation are premiering with the first one having a simuldub airing at the same time as the JPN simulcast and the other being the one sequel to the most hyped anime of 2013…..
Yeah, there’s that show I already covered earlier and apparently after I made my Anime Strike piece, Amazon just said, “Oh, that title you were looking forward to? Yeah, I got that. NOW PAY UP, MOTHERFUCKER!!”
Oh, boy and most anime people (besides me) aren’t that thrilled about this. Yes, I know people that already got Prime are good but this is about the ones considering that platform….
OK, anyway……this session is about the sequel to one of last year’s best anime of 2016 and the one anime I will say that FUNimation actually did good spending their money on…..and no, it’s not a sequel to Dimension W. This is MY HERO ACADEMIA SEASON 2!!!!!

Plot Synopsis: In a world where eighty percent of the population has some kind of super-powered “quirk,” Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. But that won’t stop him from enrolling in a prestigious hero academy. Now, the promising freshman class is making its debut at the world-renowned U.A. Sports Festival! It’s Quirk versus Quirk as our young heroes face off in the ultimate showdown.
At first watching the episode, I almost felt like “Is this a recap or something? Did they already aired that last week?” but it is more of a quick reminder of what happened last season and hearing that this is a tournament arc with the UA Sports Festival, it is that type of opener where we do get some insight around our other characters like Ochako and her (well, little) explanation of why she became a hero and hopefully we’ll get into that when the festival starts. It was a solid opener to start out the season and it still maintains the spirit the first season got. So far, I’m 100% interested in seeing what happens in this arc.
In other words, this is a very HIGH CONTINUE WEEKLY on the HIGHEST PRIORITY!!
OH, and it helps that once again, the English dub is airing simultaneously with the Japanese with subtitles on the same day this time. I hope that still continues, along with the show being good so far.
Anyway, I’m MAK2.0 aka The Blue Hybrid and….actually, Ochako’s reason of being a hero makes sense for someone like me.
