It’s time to RAISE OUR FLAGS again!!!! Last year, it was my first time watching a Gundam series in full and for the most part, I really enjoyed it. Now the first season is airing its English dub on Toonami and what do you know?
The second season premieres on the first Sunday of October this year……again.
WARNING: If you’re not far into IBO…..I suggest you don’t read this because I’m spoiling stuff here. If you don’t care, then read away.
This is Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans….season 2.
irector: Tatsuyuki Nagai
Series Composition: Mari Okada
Music: Masaru Yokoyama
Original Character Design: Yu Ito
Character Design: Michinori Chiba
Animation Production: Sunrise
Plot Summary: Aside from being the sequel series to the first season, here what’s happen in this episode.
Makanai has retaken his position as Prime Minister of Arbrau while Tekkadan has become a formal member of Teiwaz after obtaining rights to half-metal. In addition, Tekkadan is now the official military advisor for Arbrau. Kudelia and Teiwaz form the Admoss Company to mine, process, and ship the half-metal of Arbrau colonies; she also opens an orphanage at Sakura Farm on Mars. At the same time, the exposure of Gjallarhorn’s corruption has caused mass instability in several colonies, with more Mobile Suits and Human Debris appearing on the scene.
First Thoughts: What we got here is the going back to status quo/new beginnings for our characters from exposing Gjallarhorn to established all that happened before like the deaths of certain characters (i.e. Biscuit Griffon) and what’s coming of Tekkadan. Also, yeah, Kudelia, the Admoss Company is named after your late caretaker.
Anyway on this episode, it’s your basic aftermath of the effects of the war and it did what it needed to do. Most of it does feel like a re-tread of what I noticed in the very first episode but not by that much.
There isn’t really too much to add on here but…..well, it’s the only thing I’m watching on Sundays so….I’ll take it.
And as usual, it could be playing on all platforms on Daisuki, Hulu and Crunchyroll (a week later). Welp, to Daisuki (I know it has ads but do I look like I give a shit about ads on there. I’m fine with it.)
I’m MAK2.0 aka The Blue Hybrid…..oh, and there is a new theme song for this season. I know, I know, but nothing couldn’t beat Raise Your Flag for me.
