So, remember when I said this a while ago?
First things first, if you’re expecting a TotS of “Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress” anytime soon, it’s not going to happen. Reason why is simple…..It’s mainly budgetary reasons and I don’t have Amazon Prime and I really don’t want to pay $99/year for a service that I’m only going to use for that particular anime and since now noitanimA is doing an exclusive deal with them, I choose not to cover those anymore on here unless I finally give in to Amazon or use a friend’s account for it.
Oh, and since I never used it before, I got a free trial of it…….So…….that Kabaneri TotS is still on!!!!!
Ah, yes, from the director that brought you Attack on Titan as well the studio that did it and………well, that’s the only good thing they’ve made.
This is Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress.

Plot Summary: During the industrial revolution, mankind is threatened by the sudden emergence of undead monsters who can only be killed by piercing their heart through an iron plate. Those bitten become one of them. Called the “Kabane,” these monsters exploded in number. The Hinomoto people built fortress stations and barricaded themselves inside. Only steam locomotives, the Hayajiros, can travel between them.
First Thoughts: HOT DAMN, That was entertaining as hell!!! The thrilling action with the zombie hordes and the train sequences and the pure horror of it!!! I’ve never been that thrilled with a show like this since the first…episode of Attack….on….Titan. OK, we all get it by now. This show is a damn clone of Studio WIT’s popular (and only good) series they are a part of and yet while we await for season 2 of the show, whenever that’s getting released, this fills the void of that. Plus, if you’re going to be a clone of AoT, just get the original director of the series to do it and the premise and the PV says it all from the steampunk elements to the Kabane which is obvious that it’s zombies and TRAINS!! Also, you might as well call Ikoma the semi-Eren of this show and the other girl Mumei the semi-Mikasa of this. It’s ridiculous but the good kind of ridiculous that is watchable, exciting and packs a punch in its first episode. You know, something Seraph at the End failed at for being too serious in its ridiculousness.
I’m definitely CONTINUE with this and while it’s good, is it worth getting Amazon Prime just for it? Not really but it’s a start.
So…….yeah, I’m done with ToTS (for real this time). See you in late June…..
I’m MAK2.0 aka The Blue Hybrid and no, I don’t know when AOT season 2 is going to come. Stop asking and enough with the bullshit click-bait articles about it.
