Plot Synopsis: Spring in the first year of high school. Kumiko, a member of the brass band in junior high school, visits the high school brass band club with classmates Hazuki and Sapphire. There, she comes across Reina, her former classmate from junior high. Hazuki and Sapphire decide to join the club, but Kumiko can’t make up her mind. She recollects her experience with Reina at a competition in junior high school.

First Thoughts: OK, I’m going to be honest with you. Kyoto Animation as a studio bores me and their roster of anime (either TV or movies) are the same damn thing over and over again although Slice of Life is their bread and butter but it’s been getting quite stale and spoiled for some time now. They haven’t really done anything ambitious or worth talking about since the first season of Haruhi Suzumiya (and the movie, too.) However, with this show, there could be some potential in there as in while it’s another high school girls in a band show (yes, people, I’m saying it’s like K-On! You can’t hide most of the similarities), it does have a sense of realism to it and you can follow it as a high school drama but you might tend to be bored by a bit of its story…..actually, mostly like K-On! The first try(what? I never said that show or studio was bad, just not as top-tier as everybody thinks it is.)

I’m willing to give the show a chance and I do need something slow but nothing that completely bores me.

So this gets a CONTINUE BI-WEEKLY…..because while this could be a good show in the end, I’m not hyped about it as others are.

And this is MAK2.0 aka The Blue Hybrid, and if you think I’m being hard on KyoAni, then you can kindly blow it out…..

Of your tuba.
