Plot Summary: One day, the moon exploded, leaving it in a perpetual crescent-moon shape. The creature who claims responsibility for the destruction also claims it will destroy the world in March of next year. With powers beyond human comprehension, no military can stand against it. Yet, for some reason, it chooses to take up occupancy as a teacher in the worst class of Kunugigaoka Middle School. The fate of the world rests in the hands of its students, as they have until graduation to figure out how to murder their teacher and collect ten billion yen for saving the world.
First Thoughts: To be honest, to say that this is some crazy-ass shit would be redundant at this point. The whole plot about hunting down your un-kill-able teacher for a bounty is ludicrous at best but it is the premise that they were going for and it works. Yes, in the first episode, it is more of an info dump to fill you in on what upcoming antics or development may happen. It still stands on being a goofball, off-the-walls anime adaptation of the manga and most of its comedic antics does work. However, the idea of a un-kill-able teacher does question me that if the idea can stay fresh for 22 episodes or if the premise would become stale and overlong halfway through. Thankfully, this is a comedy and not to be taken that seriously so it does work in that favor if it manages to be good throughout the series.
You know what? Despite the first episode info-dump all this info on us…….it’s still a CONTINUE….WEEKLY. Yes, I’m not going to pass this up. It does get fun eventually.
And until then, this is MAK2.0 aka The Blue Hybrid, bringing every assassin to hunt down that one target…..that one you can’t kill right away.
