Plot Summary: Shinichi Izumi is a normal high school boy whose right hand has become infected with an alien parasite that names itself “Migi” (“right”). Migi is the first parasite to develop a symbiotic relationship with its host, as he and Shinichi slowly develop a grudging friendship. Migi isn’t the only Parasite on earth, however, and as cases of Parasites killing humans begin to emerge, humans seek to kill off Parasites. Shinichi and Migi find themselves caught in between these two sides of the struggle over planet earth.

Thoughts on it so far: Oh yes. YES. YES!!!!! MADHOUSE, you are once again the masters of making anime with Parasyte. I guess after those stints with two crappy shows this year (No Game No Life, Mahouka – Yeah, I still stand by saying that) and you ending Hunter X Hunter 2011 (yeah, never cared for that, either) this year, your animation quality has stepped up with this entry. Anyway, on the show, the horror element is set on right with the case of these Parasites being a major but hidden (for now) threat to the show and the body humor of the show is pleasing to hear as something like that can be easy to mess up. The blood and gore moments are very substantial as there isn’t little and not too unnecessary that it takes you out of the picture. This season has been getting mostly surprising good shows this time around and I’m glad to actually do this segment at this time around.

So yeah. CONTINUE. Please. And also, somebody out there, license this show and give it an English dub.

Until then, this is MAK2.0 aka The Blue Hybrid and make sure you don’t have a parasite growing in your junk or anything like that.
