Plot Summary: Six months ago, the five-member literature club all awakened superpowers. Unfortunately this has not led to them having anything else interesting happen in their lives, like epic battles or saving the universe. They go about their ordinary lives, just happening to have superpowers, waiting for the call to battle to finally happen – assuming it ever comes at all.

Thoughts on it so far: I know what you’re thinking. I am constantly kissing ass to Studio Trigger because of the one anime they made last year Kill La Kill…….which was the BEST DAMN ANIME OF 2013!! (Hell, maybe best of the fucking decade!!!!) Anyway, this is Trigger’s first foray into adaptive works and I wasn’t really anticipated for this one due to me not knowing about it that much of the original material. Plus, I had more shows to look forward to than this and this one is….OK. It has a good amount of humor and silliness but it does get a little obnoxious sometimes yet it never gets into where you completely hate the characters and while you say most of them get too goofy and nonsensical, that’s just them getting the tone of it right. The writing is smarter than what it should’ve been but not really enough to be engaged fully into. The animation is slightly different than what I seen after Kill La Kill. It looks mostly basic character designs with some of Trigger’s trademarks into there.

Meh. I’ll probably continue it BI-WEEKLY. Show does have a good thing going on but only for a brief moment now and then.

And you all thought I was going to praise the hell out of it!!

Until then, this is MAK2.0 aka The Blue Hybrid, bringing all the Supernatural Battles into that place that across the street behind the McDonalds.
