Anime Discovery #8 – A.D. (AFTER DARK): Focus on Hentai

WARNING: This is material not suited for young children and if……….okay, you know what?  Forget this.

Do YOU know what the definition of Hentai is?

A Japanese word that, in the West, is used when referring to sexually explicit or pornographic comics and animation, particularly those of Japanese origin such as anime, manga, and computer games. The word Hentai is a kanji compound of 変 (hen; “change”, “weird”, or “strange”) and 態 (Tai; “attitude” or “appearance”). The term is used as a shortened form of the phrase 変態性欲 (Hentai seiyoku) meaning “sexual perversion“.[1] In Japanese slang, Hentai is used as an insult meaning roughly “pervert” or “weirdo”.

In layman’s terms, combine pornography and Japanese anime and bingo, there is Hentai. Now, if you don’t have a taste of any kinds of Hentai, good for you for being a better person and leading a better life and not condemning others for liking this. But do I like Hentai? Well, I am not really akin of it because most Hentai (mostly involving tentacles) turn me off and mostly I like to not spread most of my personal life into the web but I do like to explore other genres of anime and see the whole outcome of it and I watched three Hentai and it is all licensed through Media Blasters, unfortunately the same ones who distributed Eiken, which I previously gave a harsh and unsatisfying low score of 0, and I really had no hope of them changing my opinion but we’ll see.

Also, I will not bring up the DVD box art or wallpaper from the Hentai due to its inappropriate content but I will do substitute the art for something that fits.

The Hentai I will be covering are Lingerie Office, Kiss Yori (A Heat for All Seasons), & Panty Flash Teacher:

Lingerie Office revolves around Yusuke Nakanishi, whose been hired as the Section Chief of the development of Best Beauty Body Inc., a women’s lingerie company, which could be every guy’s dream to be surrounded by attractive and beautiful women modeling the latest underwear every day and it all seems to go peachy, right?  Actually, no. He discovers that most of the female workers are being blackmailed by doing sexual favors while doing the product demos to cover a conspiracy and Yusuke has to earn the trust of the top females in order to stop the corruption, but he does occasionally gets his way with them, too………and yet something about this puzzles me.

Yusuke sees these girls degrading themselves in front of their corrupted counterparts but he just does the same thing with them, too. Look, I know it is Hentai and everybody have sex for no particular reason but he is just like one of the blackmailers only he’s the good guy. The women….are basically attractive and that’s mostly it.  It’s not a bad thing but some of them are sex slaves, the nameless workers, and Mayumi, the major kiss-ass of the group and (My guess) really wants Yusuke to get in her pants and the ending should not really surprise you.

Now for Kiss Yori or A Heat for All Seasons, which mostly does have more of storyline involved than just sex scenes. Aspiring novelist Masato met the voluptuous Chihiro (a high school crush) on a beach one summer and developed a relationship but died down once they had to split for work and follow throughout the autumn and winter, yet they only have 3 episodes to do. I thought it would be better to do 4 episodes to capture all the seasons but I guess they did what they had to do.

It is mostly the story that makes the show better, despite some characters being a bit cliché at first, but they do manage to turn around.  For example, the sexed-up friend Oka does occasionally get tired of having sex with Chieri, although I still think he’s an idiot. The latter girls Masato meet, Rei & Miku, are a bit more than their character but then again, it’s just the same.

As for Panty Flash Teacher, this one just racks on my nerves a bit. Machiko Natsukawa is a new teacher at these school, which I never did know the name of, but once she is there, she’s find out that EVERYONE IS THIS SCHOOL IS AN ASSHOLE!!!! OR A GIT! OR A BITCH! OR PRETENDER! Speaking of those words, remember these names Ishino & Iizuka, Asatauki & Asada & Utsui, they are horrible and useless human beings and the teacher, I really pity for her, I really do. All that happens is that she was raped over and over and over. Rape is not amusing to watch!! Also, the ending is a major finger to the face and the other area. Also, if you are a teacher and if a student tries to rape you, please carry mace or try to never encounter them again.

The animation for all shows ranges from very lazy to mostly well and as much as I hate to admit it, Panty Flash Teacher, has the better animation overall but it has the most despicable characters you will ever met. Although the animation is a bit sloppy and dull at the time, A Heat for All Seasons has the better story and better characters overall. Lingerie Office falls into the middle in both categories and that is all for that.

If I had to choose which Hentai was better, then I would have to choose A Heat for All Seasons out of those Hentai. Why? Like I said, this one had better characters and focuses more on the story rather than just the sex. Lingerie Office was okay, but it didn’t exactly give me a right impression and the less I say about Panty Flash Teacher, the better.

Final Scores:

Lingerie Office – 5/10 – Try Harder

A Heat for All Seasons – 7/10 – Interesting….for a little while.

Panty Flash Teacher – 2/10 – No way.

Planet Tyro Ratings:

Lingerie Office – Vanilla

A Heat for All Seasons – Watchable.

Panty Flash Teacher – Clownshoes!
